Feels so good! I knew that it would! Out of Law School Debt!

Wednesday, November 22, 2017
Hello All,

One day ‘til Thanksgiving.  Are you ready?  We are ready for a holiday!

We’ve had some major accomplishments this week.   On the 16th we paid off our law debt - and all with doTERRA money.  $125,000 paid off in 4.5 years.  I call that pretty good!

I guess I should start at the beginning of our law school journey. We had long talked about Derek going to law school, but for one reason or another, we just never decided to try make that dream come true.

Finally at the age of 41, with 8 children (one of them in college) we decided it was now or never. Derek studied for the L-SAT. Passed with good enough numbers. And we were off to Little Rock Arkansas to the Bowen School of Law.

Our last year of law school there we discovered doTERRA, which is an essential oil company. We have always loved natural medicine and feel in love with doTERRA's oils from the start. It has been a blessing in our life.

The money we made not only paid off all Derek's law school debt it also helped us start Derek’s law practice completely out of pocket without additional debt.

So we are now debt free except for our house.  Hallelujah!  Now it’s time to start paying that off at a faster rate!

A little side note about Derek's practice. His law firm is called Wasatch Legal Serives because we live along the Wasatch Mountain Range in Utah. He specializes in Trust & Estate planning. He also loves to do personal injury law, criminal law, bankruptcy's and adoptions.

We are thankful for the people we help with law issues by Derek being an attorney. And we are thankful for the people we help physical and emotion issues through doTERRA.

If you need help with either please give us a call.

And if you love natural medicine and want to teach people more about that let us know as well.

For us the best part of both Law and doTERRA is hearing the stories of the people we get to help and the financial freedom it gives us to spend so much of our lives together and to bless others.

Another highlight this week is when Derek and I went on a getaway up to BYU-Idaho to see Priscilla perform in a cabaret and boogie woogie in Extravadance (which is an event with lots of different dance styles in it).

It was so fun to be back on campus again!  We are so thankful to have children that continue to give us reasons to return to the place we met.  BYU-Idaho will always be a sacred spot for me!

I admit that really don’t like cabaret as a dance style - I really don’t like the physical danger that I feel the girls are in with all the over-the-head lifts.  But that said, Priscilla is such an incredible dancer and performer!  She is so graceful and relaxed on stage and shows so much expression.  She is a joy to watch!

And the Boogie Woogie dance was so high energy and fun to watch.

We are thankful that Priscilla, Hunter & Aja, and Colt will come home for the holiday!

That’s about all here for this week.  We love you!
